Please forgive me another technical question...
I've got an idea to get (or make) a quartz quvette (qq) that would fit the
standard FACStar nozzle holder. I know BD sells such a piece, but before I
go to them I'd like to hear the voice of The Experienced Ones. What could
you say of the quality and usability of the abovementioned? Do you know the
other manufacturer of the qq? If so, plese let me know the address or fax #
so I can contact them. Do you have any experience with constructing them
(qq)? If yes, then when could I find the ingredients?
I know the chapter of Howard Shapiro's book on building flow chambers, so if
you have any additional experience... What parameters should the prospective
qq meet to achieve the laminar flow? Is it as crucial as with the nozzles?
Or maybe I should make the new nozzle holder too?
Or..., maybe I should forget the thing forever?
Masses of thanx in advance,
Janek
